I love when brides come in with inspiration photos. It helps me see the vibe you’re drawn to. But it’s important to set the right expectations because what looks beautiful on someone else might not translate the same way on your unique features, skin tone, or undertone.

When creating your bridal vision, here’s what I always recommend:

✅ Choose 2–3 inspo photos max. Anything more starts to mix too many styles.
✅ Pick photos of brides or models with a similar complexion, hair color, and eye color to yours. Makeup appears completely different on every skin tone and lighting setup.
✅ Include at least one look from the artist you actually booked. This helps you visualize how their style translates to your face and ensures your final look feels cohesive and realistic.
✅ Remember that filtered photos can alter tones, skin texture, and highlight intensity 🫣 what you see online isn’t always how it looks in real life.

While I always recommend booking a bridal preview, I completely understand when it is not possible, especially for destination brides or those with tight schedules. What truly matters is trust and communication.

✔️ Blow dry smooth instead of air drying
✔️ Avoid heavy products or oils that can cause separation in humid air (even conditioner if possible!)

2. New Products or Treatments – This isn’t the time to experiment. Stick to what your skin already knows and loves to avoid unwanted reactions.
3. Last-Minute Brow Waxing or Tweezing – Even small touch-ups can cause irritation. Plan these at least 1–2 weeks before, giving your skin time to settle.
